Download the Relevo app from Google Play or the App Store OR visit the website app.relevo.de and register for free. Registration is necessary because this is the only way the system can recognise that you are using the service and which reusable containers you have borrowed. Only the personal data that is strictly necessary for using the reusable container system is collected. Further information on data protection can be found on the Relevo website. The Studentenwerk Chemnitz-Zwickau itself does not collect any personal data. Nor do we have access to the data processed during the booking process in the app.

Please let us know at the collection counter that you would like to take your food away in Relevo’s reusable tableware. While at the collection counter, scan the QR code on the reusable tableware using your Relevo app or via the website app.relevo.de.

Show the scan confirmation on your smartphone at the till to complete your order.

At the collection counters in the Mensa Ring or Mensa StraNa, please show the booking confirmation to the staff. The booking of the 30-cent rental fee is processed there by tapping your card on a separate booking terminal at the counter. Thank you very much!

Whether you’re out in the countryside, in your halls of residence or at work – enjoy your meal with a clear conscience wherever you like.

If it takes a little longer, the Relevo tableware can be placed in the microwave without the lid for a maximum of 2 minutes at 600 watts (please note: the lids are not suitable for the microwave!!!). However, please do NOT heat the tableware in the oven!

If you choose one of Relevo’s sustainable reusable to-go options, we will charge a to-go system usage fee of €0.30 at the checkout for each reusable container you borrow. We charge €0.60 for a single-use container.

To avoid any further costs, the Relevo reusable tableware must be returned within 14 days. You will receive several reminders about the return deadline via both the app and email during these two weeks. This deadline can be extended once by 5 days in the app. After that, Relevo will charge you a €10 climate fee for each item of tableware not returned on time, and the item will be deemed purchased. This is intended to enable and ensure sustainable circular use. After all, the tableware should not be left piling up in the office or at home, but returned promptly to the canteen and cafeteria.

Please return the Relevo reusable tableware to our facilities during opening hours or to any other Relevo partner* within 14 days.

At the Reichenhainer Straße canteen, please hand in the tableware at the pizza station in cafete⁵⁵.

At our other facilities – the StraNa canteen & cafeteria, the canteen & cafeteria on the Ring and the Scheffelberg canteen & cafeteria – please return the tableware at the till.

At the Glauchau canteen, a return trolley for Relevo containers is available next to the serving counter.

Please ensure that the Relevo tableware is free of large food residues and therefore visually clean when returned. (Feel free to give it a quick rinse beforehand ;). The containers are also dishwasher-safe. )
Containers that are heavily soiled, mouldy and therefore no longer usable will be reported to Relevo and charged at Relevo’s discretion. The same applies to attempts to cheat when returning items!

The bowls offered by Relevo are manufactured by ORNAMIN, a company that places great emphasis on sustainable production. At the end of their useful life, the bowls are 100% recycled. Used or damaged bowls are shredded and then processed into new bowls. Thanks to their stackable design, they can be stored in a space-saving manner.

The reusable bowls, made from high-quality styrene-acrylonitrile (SAN) plastic, impress with their durability, lightness, break- and heat-resistance, and scratch-resistance. They are freezer-safe, microwave- and dishwasher-safe (except for the lids), tasteless and odourless, 100% leak-proof when sealed, and resistant to acid (in terms of discolouration). The material is food-safe, free from harmful substances and, in particular, BPA-free, and therefore contains no harmful plasticisers or melamine.

A single Relevo bowl can be reused up to 1,000 times, offering a particularly effective way to avoid single-use waste. Although the disposable packaging we currently use was also selected with sustainability in mind (e.g. compostable), it is rarely disposed of correctly through proper recycling.

With Relevo’s SAN bowls, manufactured in Germany, you can therefore combine maximum functionality with an active contribution to environmental protection and the reduction of packaging waste.

All tableware we supply, including Relevo’s reusable containers, is cleaned in multi-tank dishwashers in accordance with strict hygiene standards. This process is audited several times a year through internal quality control checks and external hygiene inspections, and compliance with the prescribed temperatures is documented on a daily basis. We therefore comply with the legal requirements regarding the supply of hygienically impeccable tableware and similar items.

In our opinion, this level of safety is not adequately guaranteed for containers brought in by customers (however clean they may appear), meaning that the risk of microbiological contamination is significantly increased.

Although our responsibility is limited to ensuring the impeccable condition of foodstuffs ‘only’ up to the point of filling, we bear full responsibility for hygienically impeccable operational processes.
The risk of contamination of utensils (ladles, scoops, tongs, etc.), other foodstuffs or the surrounding area when filling containers brought in by customers is, at this stage, no longer controllable to the extent that we require and that our guests are entitled to expect.
