Venue hire & catering

We offer venues of various sizes for your event, excellent catering services tailored to your specific requirements, and a hire service.

Are you looking for a venue, or do you need catering or equipment?

Then you’ve come to the right place.

We offer rooms of various sizes for your event, high-quality catering services tailored to your individual requirements, and a hire service.

At our venue at Reichenhainer Straße 55 in Chemnitz (mensa⁵⁵ & cafete⁵⁵), the following venues are available to you:

  • “Bar Ausgleich” with a stage, a bar counter with a back area, 314 m² of floor space and seating for up to 170 people
  • large dining hall, also with a stage, covering an area of 858 m² and seating up to approximately 500 people
  • “Sachsenstube”, with a floor area of 156 m² and seating for up to 100 people
  • “Fresh Cube”, with a floor area of 165 m² and seating for around 90 people

Bookings at cafete⁵⁵ are only possible in exceptional circumstances and would need to be arranged on a case-by-case basis.

Unfortunately, table reservations at our venues are currently only possible outside of exam and lecture periods. We apologise for any inconvenience.

At our other locations, the use of our premises is primarily available for university-related or higher education purposes.

We have experience with events of various types and sizes and would be happy to advise you.

Within the university context, we offer our catering services for both internal and external events. External catering enquiries are also welcome in principle, but can only be accommodated subject to availability. However, we are always happy to assist with our expertise.

We also offer a hire service for crockery & cutlery, glasses, tablecloths, etc. for up to 150 people from our stock.
