Artificial intelligence has long since become part of everyday student life and is changing the way students learn, conduct research, and work.
Against this backdrop, the German Student Services Association (DSW) is holding its 40th poster competition and invites graphic design students to explore the role of AI in higher education through their designs.
The competition is open to students majoring in graphic design, communication design, visual communication, and related fields with a creative focus on print media who are enrolled at state or state-recognized universities in Germany during the summer semester of 2026.
Registration for the competition is open until May 17, 2026.
Poster designs must be submitted digitally via an online competition portal by July 26, 2026.
A total of 10,000 € in prize money will be awarded. The awards ceremony will take place on April 19, 2027, at the Museum für Kommunikation Berlin. A selection of the 29 best posters will also be exhibited there.
Further information on the process can be found in the DSW press release; additionally, there are images, registration details, and information about the anniversary competition for you to explore.
