In all our canteens, we’d like to pass on to you, at a reduced price, any leftover food, daily surplus or occasionally over-produced meals, as well as products that are nearing their best-before date or use-by date, thereby helping to prevent unnecessary food waste.
In the 15 to 30 minutes before the facilities close, we offer you a buffet featuring all the food items that would otherwise have to be disposed of due to hygiene regulations. You can pack these into a large, reusable two-compartment box from Relevo, which holds roughly two portions. Anyone who wishes to do so can also enjoy the food on the spot and, on request, have it served as a plate portion.
PLEASE NOTE: Of course, it may happen that there is no food left over and therefore no buffet is offered!
Unfortunately, due to the way the course is organised, a Foodsaver buffet is not feasible in Glauchau. However, you are welcome to make use of the other Foodsaver offers, see below!
The on-site kitchen management also decides daily whether the offer includes main components or not, and sets the prices accordingly:
Without main components:

With main components:
Student: 3.90 € | Staff: 4.40 € | Guest: 4.80 €
An added bonus: the 0.30 € fee for using the Relevo reusable box for the Foodsaver buffet is already included in the price!

In addition, all university canteens and cafeterias offer further, daily updated ‘Foodsaver’ deals on discounted items such as sandwiches, cakes, desserts, as well as bars, bottled drinks and, where applicable, individual menu items, all of which are significantly reduced in price. Look out for the relevant notices on site!
