Smartphones and digital media in the hands of children

Digital media are omnipresent in the everyday life of most families. Even the youngest children come into contact with content from television or on the tablet. Many elementary school children already own their own smartphone, play Fortnite and communicate via WhatsApp. This presents parents with challenges, as they are required to accompany the use of media, agree on age-appropriate rules and enforce them.
