Starting in 2026, the income allowance for secondary income will be adjusted to the higher mini-job limit. This means that, starting in January 2026, you can earn up to €603 per month (instead of the current €556) without your BAföG funding being reduced. This gives you more financial leeway.

By the way: More than half of students who are eligible for BAföG currently do not apply for it – simply because they don't know about it! Be smarter! You will probably get more than you think. Get advice.
